This scene is a pond in the countryside near where I live. It's at the foot of a hill filled with a mix of trees. The pond is lined with marsh grasses and small bushes. I did the painting from property across the road from the pond. It is framed in a narrow, simple gold frame which accents the fall colors nicely.
